Far North, BOP, Central Plateau area, and Taranaki.] 2. Northerly wind gusts 100+ km/h for many places about and north of a line Palmerston North to Murupara (BOP). [This poses a risk to overhead lines for the Auckland Metro area and NIMT.] 3. [Northerly waves/swell pick up for BOP coast and peak around 5 m overnight - which could affect ECMT from about 147 km to 159 km. ] High tide is around 10 pm.

Totals 50 to 100 mm for most of West Coast, esp. inland Midland line west of Arthurs Pass, and for Buller Gorge area. Also, totals 25+ mm within about 20 km east of Arthurs Pass, and for MNL north of about Ward (Marlborough). 2. Northerly wind gusts reach 80+ km/h in places about and north of a line Christchurch to Hokitika, including Midland line.
