Expect 50+ mm for Buller Gorge, and around 100 mm for inland Midland line west of Arthurs Pass. 2. Rain for much of MSL. South of about Timaru, there is the risk of some thunderstorms/downpours from mid pm to into the evening with some places getting 25+ mm. 2. Northwest wind gusts 80+ km/h for alpine/foothills section of Midland line east of Arthurs Pass develop morning. Winds ease at night. 3.
