Winds ease from the south from later pm reaching Marlborough overnight. 2. A period of intense rain pm/evening hours for West Coast. Totals reach 100 mm in many places [and with 150+ mm for inland Midland line about and west of Arthurs Pass. Also, totals 25+ mm within about 25 km east of Arthurs Pass - with totals increasing towards Arthurs Pass.
